Vision
Point 1We believe God has called us to build a church centered in
the Scripps/Mira Mesa general area that is multicultural, multi-ethinc and looks like a slice of heaven on earth. (Joshua 1:1-9) |
Point 2We believe we are to be a church that is known for discipleship and evangelism which is modeled from the top down. You can't make disciples with evangelism and you can't evangelize without discipleship. (Matthew 28)
|
Point 3God has called us to be a hospital for those who have experienced "church," but not the love of Christ, a place where those hurting can find comfort, those lost will be
found, those disconnected get connected, those exposed to legalism can learn to flourish in an environment of grace. (Matthew 11:28-29) |
Point 4We believe God has called our church to serve solid food with teachings deep enough to challenge anyone, yet easy enough for all to understand, leaving a legacy of grace teaching for future generations. (Hebrews 5:12)
|
Point 5We believe God has called us to equip the saints for the
work of ministry, where everyone has a job to do in the body, know how to do it and actively serves Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-12) |
Point 6We believe God has called us to introduce non-believers to a personal relationship with Christ and called us to prepare believers to have a great showing at the "Bema" seat of Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:10)
|
Point 7We believe God has called us to prepare every believer to accurately handle the Word of God for themselves, along
with living out their life in obedience to Christ. (2 Timothy 2:15) |
Point 8We believe God has called us to build a church that plants other churches...where we build THE Church, not an individual monument. (1 Corinthians 12:12)
|
Point 9We believe God has called us to be a participatory church body (NOT a performance-driven church) that worships
Him together in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23) |
Point 10We believe our church location will be a beautiful but simple worship center, with classrooms reflecting our commitment for: Bible studies, our youth and our children, and as a church, we will never put our flock into financial bondage as we seek to be good stewards of God's money.
