What will you study?
Community groups have the option of selecting curriculum available at San Diego Bible Church (SDBC) or selecting materials that are consistent with the SDBC's Statement of Faith. SDBC has a great variety of message studies, passages studies, Bible book studies, Biblical topical studies, theology and doctrinal studies, spiritual life-management studies and Christian living studies.
When and where will you meet?
Community groups meet on various days and nights of the week, typically in homes, throughout San Diego.
How long do the Community Groups last?
Community groups are continual, with short breaks normally between studies and longer breaks during the summer and holiday season. Sessions generally last about an hour and a half, approximately 30 minutes for fellowship and 60 minutes for study and prayer.
Is there any cost?
Community Groups that decide to use curriculum not made available through SDBC are responsible for the expense of purchasing individual curriculum handbooks, DVDs or other materials. Sermon-based community groups have no cost.
Is child care available?
Childcare varies by Community Group. If your group meets on Sunday Mornings, Children's Ministry volunteers are available on Sunday mornings from 10:45 AM to 12:30 PM at no charge.
How do I choose a community group?
Geography often plays an important role in regular attendance, but it is important you give strong consideration to the make-up of the groups, its purpose, and the group dynamic. You are encouraged to visit more than one group and make a decision that is the best fit for you.
